Happy Valentines day everyone,

We have a new challenge over at Creatalicious and "Its all about Lace" so anything that has lace on it.

This month we are being sponsored by Inked Treasures, I created my card using their image.

The image is called Cupib Bella and she is colored with Copics. My papers are from Basic Grey and Bella BLVD backed with brown cardstock. Flowers are WOC and Prima.

For my enveloppe card I used Lil' Angel and Devil image from the last Valentine's release. Sorry I don't remember the name of the paper it's from my old stock. My image is colored with Copics and flowers are WOC and Melissa Frances.

For the wings I added glossy accents and glamour dust.

TIP: Add glossy accent first, then immediately sprinkle glamour dust over it (not too much), when it dries it gives you a raised glitter glossy finish.

Shabby Chic Valentine card

I have been wanting to try this for a while now, Magnolia-licious highlite's DT challenge for February is Shabby Chic so I figured I would give it a try.

I found this great tutorial for shabby chic here on Stampartic blog. For my card layout Sketch and stash challenge is Free choice sketch so I picked there sketch #64 for my card.

Materials used

Papers: Kaiser Craft Sweet nothings paper pad, bazzill white cardstock

Stamps: Magnolia's Mini Cupido, Mini Kissing Tilda, mini Kissing Edwin and Sweet Moon

Martha Stewart heart punch

Flowers are from WOC

Misc. Peals, Lace, Glossy accents, stickles, Crystal stems

For my images I colored with copics and Prisma markers. I distressed all the edges of my papers then used my sewing machine for the stitching. Everything except my little cupido was misted with Matte white spraypaint, even my image. For my little cupido, I applied glossy accents and stickles on his wings.

I really love the outcome and will be doing more shabby chic in the future.

DT Herazz Valentines card

I created this Clean and simple Valentines card for Herazz Scrapbooking.

The heart is Spellbinders Classic heart die on white cardstock, stamped with Hero Arts Flourish blackground and embossed with white embossing powder. I then inked with Barn door, Fired brick and Aged mahogany distress inks. Afterwards misted with perfect pearls and water combo. The smaller heart was inked with distress inks them I added 3 coats of clear embossing powder.

TIP : make sure you dry the inked surface prior to stamping and adding the embossing powder or else the powder will stick to the inked surface.

I inked the white cardstock with Barn door distress ink, then I stamped with Versamark using Canvas stripe Hero Arts stamp, added clear embossing powder then heat embossed. Afterwards I inked with Fired brick and Aged mahogany distress inks.

For the final touch, I added pearls, ribbon, lace and twine.

Sweet Crazy Love

For my card , I was inspired with the challenge over at Magnolia-licious challenge it's a fabulous photo for our inspiration! The photo made me think of love birds and this is what I came up with.

My Sketch is from Magnolia-Mania Challenge and for my image I paired Tilda sending love letter from the new Sweet Crazy Love collection with Kissing Edwin, I think they make such a cute couple. My papers are from Prima Romantique paper pack and Kraft cardstock.

Flowers are Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts, crinkles ribbon and pearls are from stock. For my die cuts I used Cheery Lynn Olive branches and the cage from Tim Holtz's Mini bird & cage set.

I used Martha Stewart lace punch for my border, Satin lace with silver glitter hearts, WOC & Prima flowers & for the bling clear crystal stems, glitter and pearls. My papers are from stash, sorry i do not remember the collections.

For my image, I used a new Magnolia stamp, Tilda with Cozy Heart from the Sweet Crazy Love 2012 collection and masked her on my Alota Rocking chair stamp. I used glossy accents on the heart, crackle accents on the rocking chair and Stardust stickles on her dress.

Valentine Fairy - DT card for Herazz

Good day everyone,

My first DT card of the year for Herazz Scrapbooking, when I first started I was a bit unsure but I'm really happy how my card turned out.

For my card I used the following materials which you can find at Herazz online store, however note that they only ship in Canada.

Paper: Prima Celebrate Jack n Jill 6x6 pad & Kraft cardstock which I inked with Gathered Twigs distress inks
Punches & dies: Martha Stewart Lace Heart, Spellbinder Label 22 & Cheery Lynn Anastasia border
Stickles stardust, Glossy accents, Prima pastel twister & misc roses

I used lots of glitter and the added fluffy ribbon over the satin sheer ribbon adds that girly princess touch.

Happy Wednesday everyone, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I thought my posting of December 24th was my last Christmas card of the year, but I actually had another card that i did not post and would like to share with you.

This is another cutie from LOTV called Pretty Poinsettia, colored with Copic markers then added Martha Stewart ultra fine glitter.

My papers are from Melissa Frances Deck the Halls 6 x 6 paper pad backed with Kraft paper. Here are the dies I used
Spellbinder Fleur de Lis square & layered poinsettia, Cheery Lynn Holly flourish.

For the flowers I used white cardstock then inked with festive berries, fired brick and peeled paint distress inks. I then applied glass glitter and used my Krylon gold leafing pen on the clear rhinestones for the centers.

My last Christmas card of the year. I just fell in love with this cute stamp from LOTV called Under the Mistletoe. My papers are from Best Creation. Merry Christmas 6 x 6 glitter paper pad.

My stamp is colored with copics and I used Martha Stewart ultra fine and coarse glitter.

Flowers are made using Spellbinder Layered Poinsettia which I inked with distress inks in Festive berries, Fired brick and Peeled paint.

Tip: For the centers I used my Krylon gold leafing pen on clear rhinestones.

This cute little image from LOTV called Oh Christmas tree was perfect for my traditional Christmas card. I just love trimming the Christmas tree.

Creatalicious DT card

We have a colour challenge at Creatalicious this time, we want to see some
Purple, Green, Pink and White. They can be in any shade.

My papers are from K&C Company, Watercolor bouquet paper pack. I used 4 dies from Cheery-Lynn designs; Doily, Small exotic butterfly, Olive branches & Fanciful flourish and for my greeting Fiskars circle and scalloped punch.

My stamp is from my Magnolia Winter Kit and colored with my copic markers. I stamped the flower twice, added glossy accents and used 3d pop dots.

My flowers are Wild Orchid Craft and covered with stardust stickles

Winter buddies....

Hope you are all having a good week, it's a busy time of the year but I managed to make up some cards last weekend, so here's the first of the series.

For my card, I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday challenge blog along with papers from Bo Bunny Blitzen collection. My trees are from Marianne Creatables die which are covered with glass glitter along with my favorite snowflake made up of Spellbinder Create a Flake 2 and Martha Stewart snowflake punches, also covered in glass glitter. The snowflake border is also a MS punch backed with scortape then burnished with transparent glitter.

For my image I used a Whipper Snapper stamp called A Snowman's best friend, colored with copics.

A winter scene, Herazz DT card

I have been a little behind with posting on my blog, and here's my reason
He's our newest addition to our family, a cute blond lab named BUD and he is 9 weeks old.

My card was created for Herazz where you can find all the items used. For the stamps, I used Magnolia Winter Tilda & Penny Black Village Christmas, my paper is Kaisercraft 6 1/2" pad called December 25th. The trees and border are Marianne Creatables & Anastasia of Cheery-Lynn Designs. I used lots of glitter on this card.

Creatalicious Challenge DT card

We have a fun challenge at Creatalicious this month, we want to see Something for Christmas and make sure it sparkles.

So this is right down my alley. For my card I used this gorgeous paper from Memory Box and Kraft paper. The center strip is white card stock, punched with Martha Stewart snowflake border punch. I them added scortape on the back then sprinkled some Glitter Ritz warm highlights on the surface where the snowflakes now have the sticky part of the tape.

As soon as I noticed the cute birds on the paper I knew what stamp would be great for my card. I used a Snapper stamp called Prescott which I colored with copics.

My snowflake is a combo of Spellbinder create a flake 2 and Martha Stewart punches.
For all the glitter on my card, I used Martha Steward super fine glitter (so glad I purchased a big jar at Michaels).

I have created this card for Herazz Scrapbooking. I used Whimsy stamp called A Starry Night, such a cute image.

Colored with Copics

Bear and front part of penguin: W3, W1, W00, blender
Hat, Scarf: BG75, BG72, BG10
Penguin: I used 100 then added crushed velvet black flock
Of course lots of glitter and white flowersoft for the earmuffs

For my star I used Spellbinder create a flake 2 and Martha Stewart snowflakes punches
For my paper, i used up some of lasts years leftovers don't have the info anymore.

Good day everyone,

I love creating Christmas cards because of all the different possibilities for textures. There are many types of texture on this card mainly with glitter. I used Martha Stewart crystal fine glitter on her clothing, glass glitter on the flowers, snowflake glitter for the snow and used my Sakura clear star glitter pen on her wings then added glossy accents.

My image is Whimsy Stamps Christmas Winter Fairy, such a cutie. For my papers I used last year's Christmas collection from Melissa Frances, I love the colors in this collection. My image is colored with copics.

Guest DT card for Paper Creations challenge blog

I am trilled to be part of the challenge over at Paper Creations, the challenge is Holiday Wishes for Kids and they have joined up Send a Smile 4 Kids. They are doing a card drive to be sent for children whom will be in the hospital at Christmas time.

For my card I used the sketch over at Pink Ink Sketch challenge a. My papers are K&C Yuletide collection and kraft cardstock.

My image is called Christmas Puppy from Digi Doodle Shop which is our sponsor for the challenge. My image is colored with copics and prisma markers. I used Spellbinders Lacy square die and laced a ribbon. For that sparkle I used Martha Stewart crystal fine glitter, stickles, glossy accents and my gold leaf Krylon pen.

Guest DT card for Desert Island Crafters challenge

There's a new challenge over at Desert Island Crafters and as Guest DT I got to pick the itineray for the challenge. There are 10 items/techniques/colours of which you must use at least 3. I hope you can come and join us for this challenge, here's my itinerary;

Fall is a fun time to rake up a pile of leaves to jump in or to be completely covered in. I wanted to create that image so for my card, I used 2 Magnolia stamps called Lying Tilda & Tilda with Broom. For the leaves I used my Fiskar maple leaf punch. My papers are from Bo Bunny Forever Fall collection and Kraft paper which I inked with gathered twigs distress ink.

My images are colored with copics.

DT card for Herazz Scrapbooking

Herazz has the new Whimsy stamps in stock and I was so anxious to color this one. This is Mrs Clause from Kenny K collection, quite sexy don't you think? My papers are from my 6x6 paper pad called Saint-Nick from Fancypants backed with Bazzil cardstock. The contour is heat embossed with versamark and white embossing powder. All products can be found at Herazz.

My image is colored with my copic markers and the little flurries are punched from my Martha Stewart combo Snow Flurry.

Hair: E25, E31, E50
Reds: R39, R37, R35, R32
Greens: YG63
Blacks: C9, C7, C5, C3

For my embellishments, I used parts of a Prima vines called Winter Branches Icicle, and added prima leaves. I added Glimmer mist in olive vine to the leaves for a little shimmer. Red berries and bells are from my stock.

I'm really enjoying this weekend, I got to spend several hours in my scraproom so I had time to make another card for Halloween.

I used a Sweet Pea stamp called Pick a Pumpkin and for my papers I used Graphic 45's Halloween in Wonderland.

Apple season for my Creatalicious DT card

Hi everyone,

We have a new challenge over at Creatalicious and it's called "Distress Your Edges".

In my area, Autumn is also time for apple picking and we are surrounded by apple orchards, which explains a bit how I came up with the idea for my card. Therefore; I decided Tilda was going to be busy picking apples. All 3 stamps are Magnolia, I used Tilda with lace jeans, apple basket & wagon with eggs (which I masked the apples from the basket to replace the eggs). I love masking and creating scenes so this was fun. My image is colored with my copic markers using fall colors, sorry I did not keep track of the colors.

I used my Zutter distezz-it-all for all my edges and then inked with Vintage Photo and a bit of Walnut Stain distress inks. Papers are Magenta and Daisy D's, not recent collection as I dug them out of my stash drawer. For my corners I used Cuttlebug vintage die cuts.

A little spooky scene....

Happy Wednesday everyone,

My first Halloween card for this year, I used a techique called Soot stamping, you can find a tutorial here.

I used a Magnolia stamp called Witch Tilda and colored her with my copic markers. For my framed image I stamped with different acrylic stamps from Studio G and Crafty Secrets.

Papers are Martha Strewart, Recollections paper pad called Ravenhead Manor purchased at Michaels & Vintage collection Core'dinations cardstock in grey which I distressed,sanded and inked with black soot distress inks. I used a perfect pearl mist on the tree background paper as well as my spellbinder lotus frame.

A sign that fall is around the corner.....

I received a request for a man's card, I always struggle with these one's as they are never easy to make. A while back, I found some really nice stamps at I Brake for Stamps, this one is called Geese in flight. I really like how this card turned out.

For me fall is not only the leaves changing colours but also the presence of Canadian Geese stopping in our fields for a break before continuing south for the winter.

I used WeR comstock collection and the woodgrain paper is from K&C which I pulled out from my old stock. I used Tim Holtz Alterations On the edge die. I added distress inks to the paper leaves to get the nice rich fall colours and used Spring Rain and Frost Glimmer Mist to add a shimmer to the backgroung. and My image is colored with copics.

DT card for Herazz Scrapbooking

Happy Monday to all,

My card this morning was made for Herazz Scrapbooking

My DP's are from my BoBunny Foerever fall Collection 6 x 6 pad, and my image is a LaBlanche stamp called Big straw hat. My doily is a die from Cheerylynn designs called English tea party, I used an aged antique bond letterhead paper, the paper is thin perfect for the doily. For the embossed look on the bottom portion I used my scorpall.

I stamped my image on the specialty stamping paper from LaBlanche and colored my image with distress inks and nibs. I distressed this image by rolling the paper in every which way possible and I was not delicate, I am amazed of how much this paper can take and not rip.

Distress inks: Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Fired Brick, Peeled Paint, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain
I used Wild Honey distress stain on my ribbon.

Belles 'n Whistles GDT Challenge card

There is a great color challenge over at Belles 'n Whistles,

For my GDT card I used the sketch over at CLP Challenge. My stamp is Belles 'n Whistles called Surprise, I just love this image. My papers are Graphic 45' Playtime Past collection and kraft paper. The little engine is a chipboard from Maya Road which i added red glitter. I also used Spellbinders Large and small deckled Rectangles and Standard circla large and small.

Not easy for me making cards without adding lace, ribbon and flowers, I tried adding a ribbon with a bow, but it looked kind of funny, then I wanted my card boyish so decided no flowers, finally I just left it alone and i'm happy how it turned out.

Make a wish... DT Herazz card

Good day everyone,

We have beautiful sunny day here in the Eastern Townships in Québec, however I'm having a bit of an allergy attack today so I am playing in my craftroom.

I made this card for Herazz Scrapbooking, I'm very happy and honored to be part of their Desing Team. They are an online scrapbooking store and I also teach classes for them. They offer a good selection of scrapbooking products.

My image is from Penny Black called Nose to Nose and is colored with my copics. Papers are from Basic Grey Oxford collection and are distressed using my Zutter Distrezz-it-all and inked with walnut stain distress ink. I embossed the upper portion of my paper with Sizzix/Tim Holtz Dot matrix Gridlock folder.

Good day,

A while back I took a class in Montreal with Jeanette Comerford on Monochromatic coloring with copics. This image is colored using the warm greys

This is my first time coloring an image with warm greys, I really like the finish look.

For my card, I used DCWV Mariposa collection paper & Kraft cardstock which I first inked with vintage photo distress ink and then edged it with my Krylon gold leaf pen. My die is Spellbinder #18, which is one of my favorites.

This is my last GDT card for Papertake Weekly, I really enjoyed this experience. It's been a fabulous 5 weeks with fantastic challenges. This week we have a sketch to follow.

For my card I used Tilda with heart lace from Magnolia's You are so special collection. My image is colored with copics and I added White opal liquid pearls for her shirt. For the buttons on her jumper I used adhesive pearls.

Belles 'n Whistles GDT card

Hi everyone,

I am so happy and trilled to be a GDT over at Belles 'n Whistles challenge blog for the next 2 challenges, such beautiful stamps and talented ladies to work with.

For this challenge we have a sketch with a twist to work with.

For my card I used "Fairy Wishes" stamp and colored with copic markers and prismacolor pencils. I love butterflies, so it wasn't hard for me to choose my favorite shape for the sketch.

GDT card for Papertake Weekly Challenge

Good day,

Time sure goes by fast, this is my 4th posting as GDT for Papertake Weekly, and this week's challenge is To Die For, use something die cut (not punched).

For this week's challenge, I created a gift card for a special couple celebrating there 25th wedding anniversary. For die cuts on my card I used Spellbinders #10 die and Magnolia Doohickey leaf die (more dies used below in the inside view). My image is from LOTV and colored with Copics.

For the inside, I used Cuttlebug corner die and Tim Holtz big tag die. For the sparlke on my flowers I added glimmer mist and used glamour dust for the image.

My Papers are from Magnolia wedding collection and I used silver pearlized cardstock.
I punched the butterflies twice, once on the DP paper and the other on vellum and added glitter. love this effect.

Time for our weekly challenge at Papertake Weekly, "Eyes Down Look In". Use 3 in a row in any direction from the bingo card - some are free for you to pick your own.

For my card I used Blooms, Stitching(got to pick my own) - Lace

My stamp is Sarah Kay "Lucy and Kitty" and for the background I used a small flower stamp from Studio G which I stamped twice. I like these small stamps they are perfect for creating backgrounds. Papers are from Pinkpaisley Butterfly garden, I actually bought another pack I just love this collection. My image is colored with copics (forgot to mark down the numbers).

For the flowers, I used some WOC and also some Prima botanical mix called Blooming desert, which I altered.

Creatalicious Challenge DT card

Hi everyone,

We have a new challenge over at Creatalicious Challenge blog, ,we want to see a creation with 3 patterned papers,4 flowers and ribbon. Also make it a monochromatic creation(you can still have a coloured image),but why not challenge yourself and have a monochromatic image as well.

For my card I used a lot of Magnolia items and I'm really happy how this card turned out. My stamp is Bubbling Tilda and for my paper I used Magnolia Wedding Collection Papers and also used many Magnolia doohickey dies; leaf die, doily flower die & Tilda lace die.

For my wings, I tried something different, the white part I added glue, then Glitter ritz first then covered with glossy accent and let dry. For the upper part I added glossy accents and sprinkled glitter while wet. It's hard to notice on the picture, but it makes a cool texture, smooth and granular.

For my card I used Belles 'n Whistles Fairy Friend collection stamp called "Dragonfly Flight", such a cutie. My DP papers are Botanical from Prima and my image is colored with my copic markers.

For the dragonfly I applied glossy accents to the wings then sprinkled Glamour dust and let dry. Afterwards I added glossy accent to the dragonfly body. Love the texture it brings.

My flowers are WOC and Melissa Frances, I also added Stardust stickles to make it sparkle.

Papertake Weekly Guest DT card

A few weeks ago I was contacted and asked to be Guest DT for August for Papertake Weekly Challenge blog, I was so excited and could not wait to get started. Today is my first guest DT post.

The challenge this week is anything goes with the option to use metal on your card.
I added a metal charm and button. For my card I used MS Vintage Floral punch and my DP's are from K&C co. paper pack called Watercolor Bouquet.

My image is a cutie from LOTV called The Little Things which I colored with Copics and added Glamour dust to sparkle it up.

For my flowers I used white Wild Orchid Craft which I sprayed with Frost Glimmer Mist and sprinkled with Glamour dust.

Happy Sunday everyone,

What a fantastic week it has been for me, I won 4 different challenges (posted on the top right of my blog) and to top it off, one of my cards will be featured on the back cover of Fall Magnolia advertisement for Simon Says Stamp , I am soooo... excited!

Now for my card today, I used the sketch over at Magnolia-licious July challenge and for my DP papers I picked them for the Challenge over at Just Magnolia which is "What's Cooking", and of course what better image then Kitchen Tilda.

I colored the image with my copics and added Glamour dust to her dress and head scarf. The dies I used are spellbinders Square and Fair Isle. The lace is from stock and my seam binding ribbon is from WOC.

DT card for Creatalicious Challenge

Today's card is a bit different for me (no copics, butterflies or flowers.) Our challenge this month at Creatalicious is to be inspired with the 1920's. When I think of the 1920's I think of Vintage, Distress Inks and Graphic 45 papers but the possibilities are endless. Please make sure to check out my team mates cards on the blog for more inspiration.

For this card I used papers from Graphic 45, The Curtain call collection, and the cool part is Hampton Art has the Graphic 45 cling mounted rubber stamps that go with the paper. This stamp set is Curtain call 3.

All papers are distressed with my Zutter Distrezz-it-all and then inked with Antique linen, Vintage photo and Walnut stain distress inks.

An apple a day.....

Happy Saturday everyone,

I wanted to ink up Tilda and her bunny again, so I can up with the idea to use my magnolia apple basket to mask the bunny. Came out perfect, then I decided to add Apple Tilda to the scene and voilà!!

My images are colored with copics, I added glossy accents to the apples and glitter to Tilda's dress. My papers are from Daisy D's & Creative imagination.

I gathered several different types of embellies that I had in my stash and tied everything together with white raffia.

Magnolia Birthday card & Top 3 at B'nW challenge

Happy 4th of July!!

Great news, I made Top 3 over at Belles 'n Whistles challenge blog with my card Bonne Fête, sooo.... happy.

For my card today, I used the sketch over at Magnolia Down Under challenge this week, it's perfect for a birthday card. I have a lot going on with this card.

I used Secret Tilda with the small balloon stamp which I purchased
at I Brake for Stamps. I applied clear transparency Glitter Ritz over the balloons, keeps the colors and adds glitter, love it.

My small flowers and stems are created using Prima December Narcissus 3/4" flowers then I added lots of glamour dust.

I added Glossy accents to my banners and Stardust stickles to the bow on the gift. Papers are from Graphic 45 Botanicabella "Secret Garden", K&C "Watercolor Bouquet" (12 x 12 paper pad) and Kraft paper. I used my Zutter distrezz-it-all on my papers, so quick and easy.

LOTV Challenge - Celebrate

Happy Saturday everybody,

Today I have this gorgeous image called "I Do" from Lili of the Valley and this week's challenge is Celebrate. My DP is DCWV wedding prints paper stack and I colored the image with my Copic markers. I used W00, W1 and my blender for her wedding dress, however when i added the glitter it covered over some areas of my coloring.

My flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and I made the rose buds with Prima August Galdiolus, green wire stems and Glossy accents.

Tip: I also used a EK Success star punch to create the bottom of the flowers.

Hi everyone,

Well my paper pad is coming to an end, I just loved this paper from Pinkpaisley butterfly garden collection, I may just buy another pad. My stamp is Belles 'n Whistles called Cupcake.

I colored my image with my copics and added ultrafine Flowersoft to the flowers on her hat for texture. I used my clear glitter pen on her blouse, the picture does not show it well, you cannot see the nice glitter effect from the picture, you only see a grayish tint.

My flowers are from WOC, love them placed another order today (yeah, Canada post is back to work)

Happy Monday everyone,

My card is created using the sketch over at Papertake Weekly and I used this little cutie from Sarah Kay called Picnic of Daisies. My DP paper is Prima's Botanical collection 6 x 6 paper stack and backed with Kraft paper. I used Vintage Photo distress inks to add the darker shade to the kraft paper and to ink the edges of my dp paper.

My flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft, except the larger one which was originally white then I used Juniper Glimmer Mist to chance the color. I added stardust stickles to add a little sparkle.

Monochromatic with Copics

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a nice weekend, mine was fantastic even though it rained most of the time. Saturday I was in Montreal and took a Copic Monochrome coloring class with Jeanette Comerford, she is such a talented person and I love her coloring techniques.

I had never colored a Monochrome image and was eager to try it, well that's my card today. My image is Marci with rose from La La Land crafts and is colored with copics in the cool greys, we also colored the same image in the warm greys which I am keeping for a future post as I need to make a card with my image.

I added a touch of Violet and a bit of green to the image to make it pop. I distressed my papers and used my Krylon Silver leafing pen on the edges of the cardstock to pick up the grey from the image and the charm.

Flowers for you..

Good day!

I had fun masking with this card, I used Tilda with armful of tulips and a Northwoods stamp for the background called Spring Garden and table. I also used my magnolia grass stamp. My image is colored with my copics and the DP is from Graphic 45, Botanicabella collection.

For punches I used Martha Stewart and Magnolia Doohickey dies. The leafs are sprayed with Olive Vine glimmer mist and for the flowers, I used Prima June rose single flowers and shaped them up a bit and added Stardust Stickles for that extra sparkle.
I also added a bit of stardust to my WOC blossom flowers.

My butterflies are punched out of a sheet of DT paper from DCWV Mariposa collection
using a small butterfly punch then edged with my Krylon gold pen.

Tilda with Hawaii flower

I hope you are all having a great day, I feel on a roll lately. I finally have more time in my scrap room.

For my card I used the sketch over at Magnolia-licious highlites Challenge blog. My DP is Pinkpaisley butterfly garden collection and I also used Kraft cardstock. My image is colored with my copic markers, I struggled a bit with her hair, could not get the look I wanted for the curls.

I did not have the correct colors in my stock for the roses, so I applied Mountain Rose Alcohol inks to my white roses using my Alcohol ink fillable pen (which is actually filled with Alcohol blending solution). I put a few drops of Mountain Rose on my acrylic block, waited for the ink to dry and then just picked it up with my fillable pen. The alcohol ink solution reactivates the ink. We used this techniques in a course I had with Tim Holtz last year in Montreal on something else and it gave me the idea to try it on a flower.

The other trick I learned from a course with Jennifer McGuire was to glue black thread to the back of the butterflies to make the antennas. I though that was kind of cool since there are so many nice butterflies on designer papers to cut out.

Creatalicious Challenge DT card

This is my first card as part of the DT team for Creatalicious challenge.
This months challenge was set by Bec and she wants to see you create something with Flourishes - it can be a diecut, stamp or even pattern paper. So come on by and join us for this months challenge.

For my card I used a Sarah Kay stamp called Olivia with her kittens Kiki and Sugar which I colored with my copic markers. I added Raspberry ultra fine flowersoft for texture as well as black flock on the kittens to give them that soft velvety touch.
I also created my flowers by building them up and adding stickles.I lightly distressed the edges of my patterned papers and used Vintage Photo Distress ink.

Secret Tilda

Good day,

Finally I am posted a card on my blog. I have been quite busy for the past few weeks and was not able to spend time in my craftroom, boy do I miss it.

For my card I have used Secret Tilda from the Magnolia Merry Little Christmas Collection 2010. I colored the image with copic markers and distressed the papers with my Zutter Distrezz-it-all (love that little machine). For the bouquet of flowers, I used flowers from stock and assembled them together with brown craft tape and added a ribbon. The roses were white, so I sprayed one with Juniper Glimmer Mist and the other with Old Lace.

A birthday card for a three year old boy

The image is called Fly Away and was colored with copics. The DP is My Mind's Eye complete boy paper pad. I used Alcohol inks in color Ginger and Silver for the button (it was a white button).

Spring is in the air, well at least on my card, here it's cold and "snowing", I can't wait for spring it's been a long winter.
My image is from Sarah Kay, Zoe gazing at the butterflies, I colored with my copics, quite happy with the results. I added Lavender Flower Soft for texture to the basket of flowers then sprinkled glamour dust, it adds that extra sparkle.

My DP paper if from DCWV Wedding prints it's a 8x8 paper pad. I added Platinum stickles around the image and stardust stickles on the flowers.

Good day,

My card today reflects a bit of the cold and crisp air we are having lately.
I used paper from stock(sorry I don't remember the name), embossed using a Spellbinders Impressabilities die (Flourish) with my cuttlebug and then used distress inks. I created the flowers using several from stock and building them up.
My image is colored with my Copics, I also used Glamour dust to add sparkles to the image and flowers.

Good morning,

I have been away from my blog for a while as my father passed away January 22nd after a long battle with Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was and will always be a big part of my life and will be greatly missed.

I enjoy making cards and find crafting has a way of lifting your spirits up. I also teach a class once a month for Herazz and this is what we made during my last class.

We made a Tea Light card, the images are colored with distress inks and i used EK flower punches to create the flowers. The papers are Basic Grey, Wedgwood, Chatsworth & Rochelle. Sorry the image is a bit dark, I took the pictures at night and do not have the appropriate set up.

A little different for Valentines, I went with blue and brown.
I used the sketch over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge. My stamp is Magnolia "Right through my heart" which I purchased a little while ago from Diana at Magnolious.
I used Faded Jeans distress inks for my blue cardstock.
Image is colored with my copics and i added ultra fine Pine flowersoft for the illusion of grass under her feet.

My first card of the year on my blog and what better way to send off some love.
I used Tilda blowing hearts. I am entering my card in this weeks challenge at Just Magnolia - anything goes with buttons. I used the great sketch this week over at Fridays Sketches, then for the colours over at Coulour Create challenge #61 is for Pink, Red and White.

My card today is with House Mouse "Yummy Cherries", I used some embossed Bazzill and Graphic 45 papers. Image is colored with Copics, and I added MSglitter for the snow.
I also used Punches from Martha Stewart. I used Candy Apple Glimmer Mist on the flower and Olive Vine on the branches.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow, This is what we are having today (well basically since yesterday) and for the tomorrow as well.
It inspired me to create this fun and cute card. These little penguins are so adorable, the stamp is called "Penguin's Winter Fun" from Whiff and Joy.
I colored with my copic markers and added black flock to the penguins, it makes them so soft to the touch. Of course glitter to the hats and snow.
My snowflakes are MS punches, background card stock is a lighter blue, i used Broken China distress inks to spice it up.

Decorating the tree

Today my card is from the sketch over at LOTV challenge blog, my stamp is also from LOTV called Decorating the tree. DP is K & Company Yuletide paper stack, and the image is colored with Copics. I added MS glitter to his hat. I used Spellbinder Classic Scalloped Rectangles Large die for a diecut.

Happy Saturday Everyone

I purchased this paper last week and absolutely love it. It's from the collection called Home for the Holidays from Melissa Frances.
My image is Noel Joy, one of my favorites from Sarah Kay and is colored with Copic markers.
I used Art Glitter glue (the one that dries white) for the trims of her coat, then added Martha Stewart crystal fine glitter.
I added glass glitter to the poinsettia flower, and sprayed Olive Vine Glimmer Mist on the artful leaves from Prima.
As for the snow, DecoArt Glamour Dust.

A little different

I had the pleasure of taking not 1 but 3 classes with Jennifer McGuire this past saturday at Scrapbook Centrale in Montreal. Every class was fast paced and packed with different techniques (8 cards per class). She is so talented and a fantastic teacher.

In the classes we used Hero Arts stamps, which I do not have many but now have several on order.....and we used a lot of my favorites from Ranger and Tim Holtz.

Todays card is with a few techiques from Saturday, my stamp is from Rubber Stapede called Hydrangea. The image is heat embossed with white embossing powder. My picture is not the greatest ( I had to leave for school and it was still a bit dark outside). The photo does not capture the shimmer on the card from the perfect pearls and liquid pearls.

Products used: Victorian velvet, tattered Rose, Bundled Sage,Peeled Paint & Vintage Photo Distress inks. Perfect pearls, liquid pearls.
Twine, ribbon and pearls from stock.

Classic white card

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I always enjoy making white cards, I find them so classic and fresh.
I partially embossed a layer with my snowflake folder from cuttlebug, added a score line with my scorpal then added a perforation pattern on the bottom part. I added glitter to the cuttlebug corner diecuts and to the spellbinder petite oval die.
My image is called Christmas Candle from Lili of the Valley
Image is colored with my copic markers

Silent Night Tilda and snowflakes

Finally a card to post, the past few weeks have been nuts......
My sketch is from this weeks challenge over at Sketch Saturday, Sketch #128.
As for the colors, I was inspired with this weeks Challenge #9 at Totally Tilda Challenge blog; Icy Christmas Tilda using blue and silver as main colors. The paper is from last years collection TPC Studio Winter Blues collection, I matted the paper on white cardstock and added silver Glitter Ritz on all edges with Sookwang tape. I am also entering my card over at Magnolia down under challenge - make your own embellies. My star is made with Spellbinder Flakes 2 die set using Sookwang tape and Glitter Ritz in warm highlights.

Penny Black Challenge

I have another card today my sketch is from the challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge . The image is from my acrylic set called "in the garden". The Paper is from DCWV Mariposa Matstack. I inked the edges of my paper with Tsukineko Brilliance Galaxy Gold Dew drop.

The image is colored with copics and I added Glossy accents to the ladybug. The flowers are Prima Chrysanthemum ( I simply glued several layers together to get a full flower)

Guest Designer for Oldie but a Goodie Challenge

Good day,

My card as guest designer for Oldie but a Goodie blog challenge which is add a butterfly. This is not hard for me as i love adding butterflies. Images must be stamped (no Digis) and at least 6 months old.

I used paper from DCWV Mariposa Matstack, love this stack 1/2 of the pack is with glitter & foil. My stamp is Sarah Kay "Can I tell you a secret".

I cut out the butterflies and added gold stickles to them to make them stand out. Image is colored with my copic.

What a great sketch this week at Friday Sketchers, it was so much fun to work with.
I used paper from DCWV Mariposa matstack, absolutely love this paper. I finally inked up my Penny Johnson stamp "Looking chic" and colored with my Copics. I added small rhinestones to her jacket to show off the buttons.

Guest designer for Oldie but a Goodie challenge blog

I am so honoured to be Guest designer for the month of October at Oldie but a Goodie challenge blog. The challenge #3 if for All Creatures Great and Small (the animal/creature must be the main feature).

You can combine it with as many other challenges as you like, as long as the main image is stamped and at least 6 months old And the card fits the theme of the challenge.

No Digital images Allowed

So for my GDT card I chose a Motivet stamp "Doraline on a pumpkin". For the leaves I used 4 colors of distressed inks(Peeled paint, Spice marmalade, Fired brick and mustard seed) then punched them out with my small Marvy oak leaf punch. Image is colored with my copic markers.

I used fall DP papers Harmonie-Indian summer and Tim Coffrey-Fall stripes.

I am also entering this card in Copic Creations Challenge - color orange

Autumn leaves

Hi Everyone,

I just love autumn. I live in the eastern township of Quebec, Canada and I'm surrounded by maple trees. With the help of distress inks( Mustard seed, Fired brick, Spice marmalade, Wild honey and Peeled paint) I was able to capture those colors for my card. I used Fiskars maple leaf punch.
DP: Magenta
Stamp: Sugar Nellie, Post Box (I stamped the image without the post box)
Copic markers, Platinum stickles, McGill fern punch, ribbon, lace and charm from stock.

Here's a wedding card a friend of mine requested. The bride has black hair, so I had to change the tux color to brown ( i found it went better with the color of the DP). I must say black hair with copics is quite a challenge. I added Glamour dust to her dress (sorry the lighting is poor as I took this picture a few minutes ago and it's 10:15pm). I also added Glass glitter to my flowers. The DP is DCWV, the Mariposa matstack. I absolutely fell in love with this paper stack. My stamp is from LOTV.

A boys card for today. I received my stamps from LOTV and could not wait to try this one. I am entering the LOTV #62 challenge - Let's go dotty for circles this week - . Also over at Simon Says stamp challenge blog - paper piecing. For those of you who have no idea what paper piecing is, you stamp your image onto white card and also onto patterned paper. You then cut out the shapes you want from the patterned paper and glue it to your image on the white card. You can paper piece anything but its usually clothing and accessories. I got this info from their blog. I chose to paper piece his hat.

A little more vintage today which is perfect for this week at Just Magnolia challenge, I used the sketch #112 from the challenge at Friday Sketchers. I used my Distrezz-it-all from Zutter for the edges (love that tool) and inked the edges with antique linen and walnut stain distress inks. The image is colored with my copic markers.

On the boardwalk

I decided today to make a card using my Graphic 45 paper from On the boardwalk collection. I really like how it turn out. I added texture to the flipflops (EK Success punch) and hat using ultra fine flowersoft. The glitter contour on my card was done using scortape and Warm Hightlights transparente micro fine Glitter Ritz. I inked the edges with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo distress inks.

Belles'n Whistles Challenge - Simon Says Challenge

This weeks challenge at Belles'n Whistles is Glitter and Pearls. Of course I love glitter so this challenge was right down my alley. I used Glitter paper from my DCWV Linen Closet paper pack and colored with my copic markers. I also added glitter to her blouse and headband. I love texture on my cards so I added flower-soft (ultra fine strawberry and shamrock green and sprinkled glitter over it). I have also included this card in the weekly challenge at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog which is this week a photo inspiration challenge. The color inspiration being Blue Lagoon fits with this card just perfect.
