My first Mixed Media card

Good Morning

Today I have a DT card to share with you that I created for Herazz Scrapbooking

My first Mixed Media card, but definitely not my last.  This was so much fun.
At first when I just started layering  papers and masking it did not look like much,
but when I applied Gesso and paint afterwards, wow!!!

On the die cuts I used white crackled texture paste, Vintage photo and Walnut stain inks.
Then I applied paint colors Putty, Bark, Deep Sea and White Gesso.
I also applied some Brass Metallic Rub-ons.
I used heavy kraft cardstock for the die cuts.

Those are also the colors I used on the background papers.  I wrapped around some Jute twine
and tied a bow in a painted wooden button using what I call baler twine.

Here's the list of materials I have used

Image: Tim Holtz Found Relatives
Paper: Tim Holtz Idea-ology Menagerie paper, Vanilla Cardstock
Mask: Crafters Workshop Specimens
Dies: Sizzix Movers Shapers Old jalopy, Mini Feather and Inkwell, Mini Clock Spellbinders Gears, Memory box Mini Gears,
Embellishments: Metal key, Camera charm, Prima Paper Clip, Film Strip

Entering my card
Mixed Media Card Challenge - Vintage (Option key)
Crafty Calender - Bingo (Embossing, Buttons, Blue)
Mixed Media Monthly Challenge - Ribbons, Twine, Fiber)
City Crafters - Go somewhere
Crafting for all seasons - Button and bows
Creative Fingers - Anything goes

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day
Louise
